Michael Haugen, author of The Right Argument, is a fiscal and social conservative with various libertarian sympathies, particularly as it relates to government encroachment on civil liberties. Particular areas of interest in public policy include health care, education, gun rights advocacy, tax and entitlement reform, and family/marital issues.
He graduated from Eastern Washington University (Cheney, WA) in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Pre-Medicine, with a minor in Chemistry/Biochemistry.
During his studies, he participated for two years on research into genetic virulence in Molecular Microbiology, culminating in a poster presentation at the 2011 Student Research and Creative Works Symposium. He also holds an Associate of Arts degree in General Studies from North Idaho College (Coeur d’ Alene, ID).
He lives in Washington State.
